As part of its strategy for growth, WBS Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Brian Whitford MBE who has joined the group to take over the role of Managing Director. WBS founder Joe Turnbull will become executive Chairman and spearhead the drive for new business.
Brian comes from a manufacturing and industrial background and has run both large multi-national organisations and developed businesses of his own. He has specialised in corporate strategy and change management and his appointment brings a wealth of experience to the business to develop its direction for the future and provide the opportunity for diversification.
Joe says “by bringing Brian on board at this important time for the WBS Group, we have been able to take advantage of his considerable experience and at the same time release important resource to capitalise on a huge range of business opportunities available to the group”
Asked about the appointment, Brian says “I have known Joe for over 10 years and having met through a project he delivered for me, had the benefit of experiencing first-hand the superb job that WBS does. I’m very excited to now become part of the business and work with what is a really strong team. The economy is firmly on the mend and we have exciting times ahead”.
