WBS had already delivered two successful training programmes at Seven Seas,
one for our Team Leaders and one for our Crew Leaders. Given the high standard
of training we were confident that WBS would also be the right choice for delivery
of a coaching programme for our production management team.
Having first discussed the background for wanting to coach the management team,
the desired outcome and the available budget, the WBS coach designed a coaching
programme to match our needs.
We were guided through a series of group and individual exercises working towards
an understanding of our behaviours and interactions as a team and individually.
Coupled to the coach’s insightful and challenging questions and analysis we came
to our own definition of our issues and virtues.
The coaching gave us a level of confidence in communicating openly and consequently
increased group awareness of issues and the ability to modify behaviours
in a positive manner. The impact on the team has been noticeable especially in
challenging situations where leadership effectiveness is the key to resolution.
We would use WBS again next time we want to take our team to a new level and
would recommend this kind of coaching to other management teams.
